The charcoal BBQ is one of the most popular barbecues out there. And rightly so: It is only the charcoal BBQ that gives food that unique flavour. The way it works is simple: Charcoal or briquettes are used to create embers, over which meat or vegetables are cooked. The only disadvantage compared to electric grills or gas grills is that it takes some time until the embers are glowing hot. Furthermore, charcoal barbecues need to be set up outdoors because of the strong smoke development. We have various models ranging from a simple grate to a high-end ceramic barbecue. Choosing a charcoal barbecue depends on the type of food preparation you require. If you only want to grill small pieces of meat, you will not need a sophisticated model. However, if you want to grill larger pieces of meat, you should go for a model that features indirect grilling. Not only does it provide more space, it is also easier to regulate the temperature through the lid as well as the air supply. Our product filters will help you navigate our 150 models and find the BBQ that is right for you. The charcoal grill uses charcoal to create embers. It is designed for outdoor use and cooks, grills or bakes meat, vegetables or other dishes. It takes a while until the barbecue is ready for use as the embers take some time to form. Ma már a grillezés egyik sztárja a gömbgrill. A gömbgrill működési elve

Weber® Master-Touch® GBS® 57cm - Black
Bursting with all the features of the best-selling One-Touch® Premium, the three significant additions the MasterTouch® offers are the Tuck-Away® lid holder, Gourmet BBQ System® grate coming as standard and a choice of four vibrant kettle colours in addition to the traditional black.
The Gourmet BBQ System® grate has a removable 30cm centrepiece to allow you to attach a number of compatible accessories including sear grate, wok, pizza stone and griddle (all sold separately) offering you no end of cooking possibilities.
Besides the versatility the 57cm Gourmet BBQ System® grate offers, it also has an impressive 2552cm² total cooking area which is more than sufficient for a family or group of friends to enjoy a hassle-free garden party or all-year round alfresco get-together.
Regardless of whether you choose crimson, spring green, slate blue, smoke grey or black, all the bowls and lids throughout the colour range are porcelain-enamelled to ensure protection against fire, rust and the elements and are all made to last which is why Weber® confidently offer a 10-year warranty on them.
In addition to a weather-proof handle with protective heat shield the MasterTouch® lid also contains an integrated thermometer and a rust-proof aluminium vent to control temperature and air flow for perfect barbecuing.
Like the lid, the bowl of the MasterTouch® is also fitted with a weather-proof handle comprising two useful integrated tool holders as well as a Tuck-Away® lid holder which acts as both a convenient rack to retain the lid as you tend to your food and a handy windbreak.
As with the One-Touch® Premium, the Weber® MasterTouch® boasts the more advanced stainless steel One-Touch® cleaning system and removable ash catcher to make cleaning and maintenance of the kettle even easier and more effective.
Simply by sliding the lever protruding from the One-Touch® cleaning system three angled blades attached internally to the base of the kettle rotate to ‘sweep’ the ash through the drainage holes into the rust-proof removable ash catching bucket saving time and preventing mess.
At the bottom of the stand sits a convenient triangular shelf for placing food or accessories as well as two logoed all weather wheels to assist with mobility of the barbecue.
Included with the MasterTouch® barbecue is a pair of char-baskets® to help with the positioning of the briquettes for indirect cooking as well as one large disposable drip tray.
As well as the charcoal baskets, the MasterTouch® also comes with a useful charcoal measuring cup which will help keep the amount of briquettes used consistent and in-turn the temperature controlled, meaning perfectly cooked food every time!

This has a large cooking area and easy to use. The results have been great with possibility the best steaks ever. My husband has a tendency to keep poking the food so the fact that you cook with the lid closed leaves him a bit frustrated.

I am reviewing this on behalf of my mother, for whom I purchased this product. I am a grilling and smoking enthusiast, and as such was responsible for all of the outdoor cooking in my house. After moving out last year and into the big world by myself, it was left to my parents to reclaim the outdoor cooking mantle, so we set about finding a product that could help them cook outdoors with quality, ease, and simplicity. I cannot recommend any other brand or style than the Weber Kettle, simply for its build quality, reliability, durability, and ease of use. My mother is in love with her newest gadget, and has already mastered indirect cooking and control of the vents, using the grill to cook up fish, chicken, prawns, burgers, sausages, and veggies! Riverside's customer service was excellent, and the item arrived the following day after ordering with free delivery; they even threw in a free griddle pan!

Fantastic even for a novice on first use! We indirectly cooked a chicken using the briquette holders - it was delicious then we added more charcoal to directly cook our veggies and steaks. Really accurate thermometer too if indirectly cooking. Great results even for a newbie!

NFL Edition Weber Master Touch – Bears Logo Grill
Back in 1995, the NFL sponsored a Bar-B-Q competition, with the prize being a very limited Weber Master Touch (MT) NFL Edition grill. Here’s what Weber had to say about these rare grills:
“This is an extremely rare 22” kettle. These special editions were never sold at retail, they were only for the official NFL Tailgate party. There were only probably 8-10 made for each team. The person you bought it from would have won it during the tailgate cook off.”
We’ve seen a few over the years, including matching Smokey Joe grills, but it’s always fun to see another one. Have you seen your favorite team yet? (Sorry Ravens, Panthers, Texans and Jaguars fans, these grills predated your team!)

The NFL and Weber sponsored the competition. The competition took place prior to a home game for each team and was held pretty early in the season. I called into the local radio station to get into the competition and he winners moved on to another or final round. I think the final competition was in Kansas City.
Every participant cooked on a brand new team logo-ed grill and got to take it home. 8-10 participants sounds about right. I did not win and did not care, I got the grill. We were not informed we were getting the grills prior to the competition so getting the grill was a pleasant surprise. It was a pain getting the coals put out and the grill cooled off in time to get the grill to my car and then get back to the game. Participants got two tickets to the game also.
Alas, I did not keep it in shape and was not into Weber grills like I am now. It is gone. Your pictures are spot on.

Weber grill master touch gbs special edition
Ma már a grillezés egyik sztárja a gömbgrill. Története 1952-ig nyúlik vissza, amikor a gömbgrill atyja, az amerikai George Stephen, a saját elbeszélése szerint sokat bosszankodott, hogy a lecsöpögő zsír minduntalan begyulladt a faszénen, és hogy a legkisebb esőben is fedél alá kellett vinni a grillt. Akkortájt az Egyesült Államokban a szabadban álló, falazott grill volt általános – a gömbgrill bevezetése után azonban gyorsan feledésbe merült.
A gömbgrill formája mindmáig emlékeztet a tengeren úszó bójára. Alsó felében van a rostély és a szén, a fölső pedig fedélként szolgál. A faszén egy tálcában foglal helyet, és alulról egy kis kürtőn át kap friss levegőt. Verhetetlen előnye a gömbgrillnek, hogy a fedél jóvoltából alkalmas indirekt grillezésre is. Ilyenkor nem közvetlenül a hús alatt helyezkedik el a faszén, hanem jobbra és balra tőle.
A gömbgrill működési elve
A gömbgrill két félgömbből áll. Az alsóba lehet tenni a faszenet, amely azonban nem érintkezik a félgömb fenekével, hanem rácsos tálcán terül el, néhány centiméterrel feljebb. Szellemesen kitalált szellőzőrendszerrel lehet szabályozni az oxigénellátást, és ezen keresztül az izzás időtartamát és hőhatását. A gömb alján több lyuk van, és ezeket lehet igény szerint nyitni vagy csukni.
A grill alsó felében van a grillező rostély. Típustól és árfekvéstől függően ez lehet állítható magasságú is. A felső gömbfélnek is van szellőzőrendszere és fogantyúja, amellyel leemelhető a fedél.
A gömbgrilles grillezés előnyei
Teljesen zárt fedél alatt különösképp kíméletesen puhul a hús a környezeti hő hatására. A hús fölösleges zsírtartalma egy edénybe csöpög, amely középen helyezkedik el. Ha ezt sörrel vagy vízzel töltik meg, akkor a légnedvesség hatására nagyon szaftos és zamatos lesz a hús. Gömbgrillben gond nélkül lehet elkészíteni akár három kiló marhahúst, egy egész pulykát vagy kakast.
Melyik modellt válasszam?
A Weber kínálatában sokféle gömbgrillt találunk. Akármelyik modellre esik is a választás, döntő kritérium a grillező rostély mérete. Ha a grillező rostély átmérője 47 cm, akkor nagyobb húsporció esetén egykettőre kiderül, hogy nem elegendő a felület az indirekt hő alkalmazásához. Különösen nagy felületű, 57 cm átmérőjű gömbgrillre van szükség, ha egész estés grillezésről van szó, sok vendéggel. A professzionális modellek hamugyűjtő edénnyel és beépített hőmérővel is fel vannak szerelve.
