We want you to love what you buy! But if you don’t, we offer a simple “No Hassle Returns” policy. We allow you to return all new, unused, unassembled, and resalable items in their original packaging within 45 days of delivery for a refund (minus the original and return shipping costs incurred by BBQGuys.com). Naturally, if your return is because of our error, you are not responsible for any shipping costs.
- If your return request is due to product defect or damage, we will first work with you to get the product repaired. If repair is not possible, then we’ll work with you to get it replaced.
- If your return will be coming back via freight truck, we will require you to provide us a photo before your return will be authorized. This can be as simple as a cell phone pic! We just need a “before” picture in case there is any damage to the item on its way back to us.
- To expedite the returns process, before shipping the item(s) back, make sure they are clean, the packaging is sufficient to prevent damage, and (if necessary) you note all defects along with the photos taken.

To be eligible for a “No Hassle Return,” items must be returned within 45 days of delivery in “Like New” condition. “Like New” condition is when a returned item is unused, unassembled, and has been returned in the original packaging.

- The costs of return shipping are deducted from your refund or merchandise credit.

Made-to-order/special order items defective due to manufacturing will be repaired/replaced as long as the claim is made within the warranty period offered by the manufacturer. Great little grill
Best thing about this great little grill is how the lid is securely held in place for transport..never had an issue with the thing coming apart in the car. Big enough to grill a decent amount of food for a small gathering while still small enough for easy transport. Bottom vents work well, but can be a bit difficult to adjust when the grill is hot. Had mine for about 5 seasons with an average amount of use..still looks brand new. Great Weber craftsmanship as usual.

Wonderful Grill
We use the charcoal chimney, stuffing newspapers underneath and lighting. No dangerous or messy lighter fluid
! When coals are hot we pour them into the BBQ. It's small, perfect for two up to 4 people depending on what you're making. Put on the lid, adjust the vents below for air to get in, and the vents on the lid for the smoke to exit. The unit's design eliminates flare ups because there's enough oxygen for the coals, but not enough for flare ups. Bank the coals to one side if you want indirect heat. Almost infinite adjustments for the air adjustments. Add moist wood chips to get smoky flavor and adjust vents appropriately. When through cooking, close all vents and put the lid back on. the lack of oxygen will smother the coals and you can use them the next time
! Grab this unit while you can. They are hard to find. Retailers love to stock the units that use gas. These charcoal Go Anywhere Grills give a better flavor to your food and offers better cooking options over the gas models.

missing hardware
Looks like a decent grill. However, a screw (and a washer) was missing, which made putting it together difficult. The screws are a special kind, so I will have to wait to go to Ace for the needed screw. A washer was missing, but I was able to substitute one. Seems like they could spend an extra $.00001 per unit and put in a couple extra screws, or at the very least an adequate number.

I used to buy other grills and after the first use the paint had burned off and the rust set in.
Not this grill. I have had it 30 years and it is still in great shape! It folds small enough that it easily fits into the storage bay in my RV. Once it is cooled I slip it into a plastic trash bag for storage.

Best portable charcoal grill available
If you're looking for the very best portable charcoal grill of a size sufficient to feed up to 4 or 5 people, this is the product to buy. When my daughter recently "borrowed" my original (25 years old) version of this "Go Anywhere" grill I was happy to find that I could still buy a new direct replacement. It's far superior to their (cheap) "Smokey Joe" equivalent: The "Go Anywhere" model has a heavier steel shell with true porcelain enamel coating (not just spray paint), welded-on (not bolted) handle frames, with glass/poly heat-resistant handles, and has a heavier duty charcoal rack. It's easy to take on picnics, easy to stow, and exudes the kind of premium quality that's hard to find today. The current design has the same rotating legs as my old mid-80s model (legs lock over top cover for travel, allowing single hand carry), but these legs are now taller, and elevate the grill bed so that it's fully 4 inches above the picnic table or porch/deck surface (instead of 2 1/2 inch), so now there's 60% more clearance space for radiated heat to dissipate---it's safer.

GREAT charcoal grill
You can control the airflow thru this grill which is a must on small grills.Top grill finally burnt thru and i had this so long i knew they didn't make it anymore.To my surprise i found it online at my local Ace Hardware. So what is so interesting about the Weber GoAnywhere? The GoAnywhere was the very first gas grill made by Weber.
Before the Weber Q, Spirit, Summit and Genesis grills came the GoAnywhere.
The original Weber GoAnywhere grills used lava rock as a heat distribution media just like every other gas grill of the time. And just like every other gas grill of the time the GoAnywhere suffered serious problems from flareups and grease fires.
However, one day the engineers at Weber were messing around and decided to replace the lava rock with a piece of bent sheet metal located directly over the single burner on the GoAnywhere.
The bent metal sheet worked great for even heat distribution.
As an added bonus the engineers discovered that the hot metal sheet would vaporize dripping grease and create a wonderful aroma. The resulting smoke added wonderful flavor to grilled foods.
Any grease that was not vaporized was directed away from the burner. The combination of vaporizing grease and directing the flow of excess grease away from the burner virtually eliminated flare ups.
The engineers capitalized on the great flavor produced and named the bent sheet metal a “Flavorizer Bar”.

It was the invention of the of the Flavorizer Bar that enabled Weber to produce the first full size backyard grills (Weber Genesis 1-5) that easily outperformed every other grill on the market.
The Flavorizer bars were the heart of every single Weber gas grill until the introduction of the Weber Q grills.

What I find interesting is that the newest version of the GoAnywhere has stopped using a Flavorizer bar and has switched to an engineered grate like those employed on the Weber Q grills!

We use the charcoal chimney, stuffing newspapers underneath and lighting. No dangerous or messy lighter fluid
! When coals are hot we pour them into the BBQ. It's small, perfect for two up to 4 people depending on what you're making. Put on the lid, adjust the vents below for air to get in, and the vents on the lid for the smoke to exit. The unit's design eliminates flare ups because there's enough oxygen for the coals, but not enough for flare ups. Bank the coals to one side if you want indirect heat. Almost infinite adjustments for the air adjustments. Add moist wood chips to get smoky flavor and adjust vents appropriately. When through cooking, close all vents and put the lid back on. the lack of oxygen will smother the coals and you can use them the next time

missing hardware
Looks like a decent grill. However, a screw (and a washer) was missing, which made putting it together difficult. The screws are a special kind, so I will have to wait to go to Ace for the needed screw. A washer was missing, but I was able to substitute one. Seems like they could spend an extra $.00001 per unit and put in a couple extra screws, or at the very least an adequate number.

Not this grill. I have had it 30 years and it is still in great shape! It folds small enough that it easily fits into the storage bay in my RV. Once it is cooled I slip it into a plastic trash bag for storage.

If you're looking for the very best portable charcoal grill of a size sufficient to feed up to 4 or 5 people, this is the product to buy. When my daughter recently "borrowed" my original (25 years old) version of this "Go Anywhere" grill I was happy to find that I could still buy a new direct replacement. It's far superior to their (cheap) "Smokey Joe" equivalent: The "Go Anywhere" model has a heavier steel shell with true porcelain enamel coating (not just spray paint), welded-on (not bolted) handle frames, with glass/poly heat-resistant handles, and has a heavier duty charcoal rack. It's easy to take on picnics, easy to stow, and exudes the kind of premium quality that's hard to find today. The current design has the same rotating legs as my old mid-80s model (legs lock over top cover for travel, allowing single hand carry), but these legs are now taller, and elevate the grill bed so that it's fully 4 inches above the picnic table or porch/deck surface (instead of 2 1/2 inch), so now there's 60% more clearance space for radiated heat to dissipate---it's safer.

GREAT charcoal grill
You can control the airflow thru this grill which is a must on small grills.Top grill finally burnt thru and i had this so long i knew they didn't make it anymore.To my surprise i found it online at my local Ace Hardware. So what is so interesting about the Weber GoAnywhere? The GoAnywhere was the very first gas grill made by Weber.
Before the Weber Q, Spirit, Summit and Genesis grills came the GoAnywhere.
The original Weber GoAnywhere grills used lava rock as a heat distribution media just like every other gas grill of the time. And just like every other gas grill of the time the GoAnywhere suffered serious problems from flareups and grease fires.
However, one day the engineers at Weber were messing around and decided to replace the lava rock with a piece of bent sheet metal located directly over the single burner on the GoAnywhere.
The bent metal sheet worked great for even heat distribution.
As an added bonus the engineers discovered that the hot metal sheet would vaporize dripping grease and create a wonderful aroma. The resulting smoke added wonderful flavor to grilled foods.
Any grease that was not vaporized was directed away from the burner. The combination of vaporizing grease and directing the flow of excess grease away from the burner virtually eliminated flare ups.
The engineers capitalized on the great flavor produced and named the bent sheet metal a “Flavorizer Bar”.

It was the invention of the of the Flavorizer Bar that enabled Weber to produce the first full size backyard grills (Weber Genesis 1-5) that easily outperformed every other grill on the market.
The Flavorizer bars were the heart of every single Weber gas grill until the introduction of the Weber Q grills.

What I find interesting is that the newest version of the GoAnywhere has stopped using a Flavorizer bar and has switched to an engineered grate like those employed on the Weber Q grills!

Got these griill grates for the Weber Go Anywhere grill. The 3 piece grates make the grill portable because everything now fits inside the grill including the Weber rapid fire chimney filled with briquettes, makes transport (where space is an issue) easier. Cooking on the grill grates is perfect and using wood chips when you grill you won’t have any flare ups. Easy clean up. Highly recommend these grill grates!

By way of background, I recently bought a Weber GoAnywhere for my everyday grilling for my wife and I. I already have a full complement of smokers and a venerable Hasty Bake Charcoal Oven. The HB is wonderful for grilling (it has an adjustable fire grate, which also makes it great for smoking), but it is overkill for grilling for just the two of us. I decided to add GrillGrates to the new GoAnywhere in the effort to arrive at the perfect small grill for stuff like steaks, fish, burgers and the like. The steak that I cooked last night was a work of bbq art, perhaps qualifying me as the Michelangelo of Meat. Also, the GG's really enhance the little grill for plank cooking fish. It allows the placement of a wood plank on a really hot grill top without the plank burning up. All in all, an excellent addition to my bbq collection.

The grillgrate turn my weber go anywhere grill into a fine peice grilling machine. I spent more time fighting fire than actually grilling with the original grate. But now, no more flare up. All smiles from here on out. Did a test run on chicken wings and marinated beef short ribs. Food cooked to a perfection. I have this on my weber Genesis too, that's how I know this is a great product. Highly recommended to anyone who owns the weber go anywhere. A must have.

The Weber Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill provides a unique, and satisfying cooking experience. In today’s market we are spoiled for choice with high powered stoves that are quick and powerful to use. And while these types of stoves/grills offer a convenient way to cook while outdoors, they can’t honestly match a charcoal grill for a great outdoor cooking experience.
As the name implies, you can ‘Go-Anywhere’ with this grill, it’s small enough and portable enough to take with you wherever you’re heading. It is easy to set up as will be explained in more detail.
At its low price point it’s not hard to understand why it has been in production for so many years, and is still a fan favorite today.
Setup and Design Features
The Weber Go-Anywhere has been in production for over 20 years. A lot of the features have stayed fairly consistent, obviously some modernizing of the coating and handles has taken place. But, overall it is a very similar grill to the first ones made, and why fix something that isn’t broken, right?
It’s designed with portability in mind, so it’s fairly compact. You can fit up to 6 burgers, or a couple of large steaks on the grill easily enough. The cooking grate is easy to remove for cleaning and treating.
The legs double up as a locking mechanism when transporting the grill, just simply swing them around from the standing position to holding the lid on tight and locking in place. I have never seen or heard a negative review about the locking mechanism, so you can rest assured it is manufactured well.
The use of the Go-Anywhere grill really is as simple as setting the legs, removing the lid, and loading up the charcoal.
This is the beauty of the Weber Go-Anywhere charcoal grill, it’s extremely easy and quick to set up.Warming the coals and cooking will take a little long than powerful propane powered stoves, like the Everest for example. But the cooking experience and taste of the food makes the wait more than worth the while. Price ranges from $40 to $60.
Dimensions – The Weber 121020 Go-Anywhere is 14.5” H x 21” W x 12.25” L, offering plenty of cooking space for 2-3 people.

Insider Tips
Cooking with charcoal is very different to gas. It takes longer to warm up, and you may need to change the coals on a long cook. There are some advantages to using coals however, a lot of pro charcoal users will tell you it gives a better cook and adds flavor.
Here are some tips to help you get the most out of grilling with charcoal:
Prior to cooking position the coals in a pyramid shape. This allows for ventilation through the coals helping them catch fire easier.
If you are using lighter fluid to light your coals, soak the coals with about half a cup of fluid and allow a minute for the fluid to soak in. Then use a match to light them, ensuring there are no safety issues present.
Do not use gasoline or kerosene as lighter fluid, there is a very real risk of creating an explosion.
Weber Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill Summary
If you never cater for more than 2-3 people and enjoy the experience of cooking over hot coals this may by the grill for you. In fact, it’s probably the perfect grill for you.
