Sixty-one years ago, George Stephen got tired of wind and rain messing up his cooking on an open-air grill, the main barbecue tool of the day. He grabbed a buoy made where he worked, Weber Brothers Metal Works in Illinois. He sliced it in half and fashioned a tight-fitting dome lid. It didn’t work very well until a neighbor suggested he poke holes in the kettle so air could fuel the fire. The Weber grill was born.

The Bottom Line

This grill is one of the last of Lowes' BBQ Grillware brand of grill. It is a basic 3-burner gas grill with side burner. As a basic burger burner, this isn't a bad grill, but with lightweight components and weak burners it isn't built to last. Of course, for the investment you should expect too much. My suggestion is that you consider an even less expensive grill since grills costing around $100 are probably going to last about as long as this one.

The only feature this grill offers above those is 3 burners is a side burner. If you need these then consider this grill.

Guide Review - BBQ Grillware 3-Burner Gas Grill Model #GGPL-2100

This model has been discontinued.

The BBQ Grillware was introduced a few years ago as Lowes' inexpensive brand of gas grills.

Over the years, this name (made by many different companies) has been reduced to this, latest grill. This gas grill is a good sized, 3-burner gas grill with a standard side burner, giving you most of the features you might want in a basic grill (rotisserie kit is available). What makes this grill worth considering is the price (around $190USD).

As an inexpensive option, this grill should serve you a couple of years before you drag it to the curb.

This model is limited by the lightweight components and weak burners that will corrode in a couple of years. Replacement parts (if available) will cost you nearly enough to justify buying a new grill.

Es ist der beste Grill den wir jemals hatten. Sowohl vom handling, als auch von der Vielfalt der Anwendungsmöglichkeiten her.Küche ist seither out, grillen ist in.

Wie in der Beschreibung des Verkäufers zu lesen ist, handelt es sich um einen Grill der hauptsächlich aus Teilen einer B-Waren Serie zusammengestell ist.

Gut. wenn man B-Ware bestellt kann man keine Wunder erwarten. Ich finde auch nicht, dass ein Kohlegrill den Verarbeitungsstandard von Luxusmöbeln aufweisen muss. Andererseits fanden sich in dem mir zugesendeten Bausatz nur wenige Teile, die weder verbogen, verbeult noch verkratzt waren. Das emailierte Bodenblech war an mehreren Stellen leicht eingedrückt. Die silbern lackierte Rohrkonstruktion an diversen Stellen so stark verkratzt, dass es hier wohl früher oder später zum Rosten kommen wird. Das Zierblech des vorderen Standbeins weist auf der sichtbaren Außenseite eine größere Stelle auf, die offenbar mit grobem Schleifpapier oder Ähnlichem bearbeitet wurde. Der auf der unteren Halbkugel aufsitzende Edelstahlring weist an der Innenseite ebenfalls eine größere Stelle auf, die wohl mit grobem Schleifpapier bearbeitet wurde. Dieser passte zudem nicht exakt auf die untere Halbkugel, was aber durch Nacharbeit. Weitere Informationen

Weber Spirit E-310 Gas Grill

The basic 3-burner Spirit Gas Grill from Weber runs around $600USD and offers little more than a cookout, but is it worth it. The Spirit line gas grills are made in China by Weber, use inferior stainless steel, and are very basic. So why is this better than the same sized and featured grill at most any store for half the price? Good question. I would argue that this grill is better built than those and that Weber's warranty and support are much better.

Aside from this, it really is a very close call.

Guide Review - Weber Spirit E-310 Gas Grill

For nearly 30 years, Weber has made some of the best and best-respected gas grills in their price ranges. Carving out the space between the hardware store bargain grills and the high-end appliance store units, Weber has been comfortable in its space. A few years ago, Weber reintroduced their Spirit line of grills to widen their market share.

For 2013, the Spirit grills were redesigned to bring them into line with Weber's accessories and Genesis grills.

The Spirit E-310 is the heart of this line. Larger and more versatile than the 2-burner versions and without the unnecessary stainless steel body parts of the S-series or the potentially unneeded side burner of the E-320, this is the basic grill that Spirit represents.

This 3-burner unit has enough cooking space to accommodate most families, porcelain coated cast iron cooking grates that are heavy enough to create grill marks, and a basic set of Weber extras like a tank gauge to help you not run out of gas.

The big question about this gas grill is whether or not it is worth the price. At around $600USD, there are a number of grills that are cheaper. Like those grills, this one is made in China and uses lower grade stainless steel for its burners and other components. I have to answer that I do believe it to be worth the investment provided that it is taken care of and used. When I look through my database of grills, this one does, in fact, stand out as a good grill.
