The 8 Best Gas Grills To Buy In 2017

No doubt, all of us like to host and attend the BBQ parties and we already know that the quality of food never comes from the flimsy grills. So, everyone wants a grill that fits the individual budget and cooking needs. On that note, we have compiled a list of best gas grills of 2017 that are suitable for most bbq lovers. This list is gathered over multiple weeks of hard work involving self-testing in our backyards and detailed reviewing.

Best Overall: Weber Spirit E310

Coming back with a recent redesign, the Weber Spirit E 310 NG comes packed with all the amenities that can get you grilling in no time. This grill offers a 32,000 BTU per hour input, divided between 3 high-grade stainless steel burners over a combined cooking area of 529 square inches. From the side burner to the extendible stainless steel workspace (with 6 hooks), the utilization of space is improved and the comfort is greatly increased.

This grill features a minimalistic design that offers everything, the bigger grills offer. A deep black and stainless-steel theme signals sophistication and elegance. Unlike its predecessor, this design features a user-friendly front end control knob panel for optimal user convenience. Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates provide superior heat retention while the durable porcelain-enameled shroud resists to fade, peel or rust.

It has an electric crossover ignition system that ignites the three burners almost instantly and porcelain-enameled flavorizer bars smoke and sizzle when cooking juices drip down on them which add flavor to the meal. Moreover, center mounted thermometer is installed on the hood for perfect temperature feedback whereas fuel gauge is installed to keep you updated about the fuel quantity every time. Lastly, I found the Spirit E310 to be easy to set up while being easily maintainable.

Best For Large Party Eat-Outs: Char-Broil Performance 650

Are you looking for a gas grill that can accommodate a large party eat outs easily? If yes, then you may know that these types of giant-sized grills are quite expensive, but Char-Broil ruled-out this phenomenon by launching the low priced Performance 650 6-Burner grill.

This new grill offers ample 650 square inches of the primary cooking area (which is sufficient to cook 25 steaks or 35 burgers) and 280 square inches of the secondary cooking area. Its main burner can exhaust 65,000 BTU while a side burner is capable of delivering 10,000 BTU.

Performance 650 uses propane tank as a fuel source and there is a fuel gauge monitor installed in it that measures the remaining fuel in the tank. The design of this grill is like its predecessor (Performance 475) but the power to size ratio is improvised which was not accurate in the previous model. Moreover, the quality of cooking grates is same as it was in performance 475 that makes it capable of retaining heat and dispensing it quickly. So, overall the upgraded model is much better than its earlier one and can efficiently handle the large party eat-outs.

Best Luxury Gas Grill: Weber Genesis II LX S-340

Weber recently introduced its LX (luxurious model) which has all those features that are not common in genesis ||. It has an enormous cooking space of 513 square inches and tuck-away warming rack (foldable) is of 156 square inches. There are three main stainless steel burners which provide 43,500 BTU-per-hour input however side burner provides 12,000 BTU-per-hour input. These burners provide even heat distribution on the cooking grates so that the food is evenly cooked.

One can easily prepare side dishes and sauces with the help of flush-mounted side burner. The Cooking grates of this grill are made of high-quality 7mm stainless steel to last for a long time. Additionally, it is equipped with enclosed cabinet for storage and one can use easily foldable side tables to hang cooking utensils within arm’s reach. The handle light of this is quite powerful as it illuminates the entire cooking area and when the lid gets closed, the light automatically turns off to save energy.

The grease management system included in this grill is quite robust as it saves from dangerous flare-ups and removes grease easily. Its infinity ignition system makes sure that burners ignite smoothly once the knob is turned. Moreover, the flavorizer bars catch drippings that sizzle and smoke, which add irresistible smoky flavor to food which everyone love. Though it is expensive, but luxury comes with the price. Isn’t It?

Best Tru-Infrared Grill: Char-Broil Performance 450

Those who love tru-infrared cooked food know that tru-infrared grills are not economical grills however Char-broil has introduced its new infrared grill which is quite affordable, keeps the food quality at its best and comes with the small size.

Let’s look at its design and features. With its three high-power burners and 450 square inches cooking area, it has given a tough competition to the grills of the same lineup. Its main burner is capable of delivering 30,000 BTUs whereas its flush lidded side burner offers additional 10,000 BTUs which are quite enough to cook good amount of food instantly. Furthermore, this grill offers 180 inches of the secondary cooking area along with ample side shelves that give enough space to cook delicious food.

Its convenient cart design (gives portability), Surefire electronic ignition system (provides quick spark), durable porcelain coated grates and temperature gauge are one of its additional exciting features.

Best High-End: Weber Genesis II E-310

Weber Genesis II series is one of the most durable and popular series in the weber’s line up. This series is popular for its sturdy design and grilling system. Although all the genesis grills are good but E-310 performed exceptionally well, so we decided to test this model and below is what we found.

Weber Genesis II E-310 comes with 3 stainless steel burners which produce 37,500 BTUs. It has 669 sq. in. of total cooking area that provides ample space in which 513 sq. in. is of primary cooking area and 156 sq. in. is of warming rack area.

Folding side shelves with tool hooks, open cart design, centre mounted thermometer, stainless steel heat deflectors, liquid propane fuel gauge, 168 lbs. of weight (helps in portability), stainless steel flovorizer bars, porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates and 4 heavy duty wheels (in which 2 front wheels are lockable) are some of its exciting features.

Best Portable Grill: Cuisinart CGG-180T Petit Gourmet

Who doesn’t love easier and faster cooking? And what about portability?

By keeping these questions in mind, Cuisinart launched its grill that gathered a lot of satisfied customers and upon testing this product, we have found following results:

This grill doesn’t offer those features which fully functional grills offer. The reason behind this is that the manufacturer of this grill has designed it to be the most portable grill in the market so, they have sacrificed some advance level features for the sake of portability.

It just offers 145 square inches of cooking space which is no doubt too small, but you can still cook few burgers or at least 8 steaks at a time. As it weighs only 13 pounds, you can carry it along with you wherever you want and don’t get confused about its build quality because this grill is meant to survive for years, not for few months. Although 5500 BTU is not what we usually get from high-end grills but quick startup, quality cooking grates, folding legs and most importantly the price tag are what that make this grill one of the best grills in the market.

Best Value Winner: Charbroil 280

The Charbroil Classic 280 grill is something that most homeowners have grown to be fond off due to its simplicity which brings it close to practicality. This grill has all the performance to fulfill moderate barbecuing needs as it features 2 burners that produce a combined total of 26,500 BTU, which is spread over an area of 280 square inches of cooking space (on porcelain-coated wire grates).

Piezo Ignition System (for a reliable spark with every push of the button), front placed control panel (provides ease of use for the user), porcelain-coated steel lid (designed to withstand the extreme cooking temperatures), metal side shelves (that offer extra work-space with built-in handles and tool hooks), porcelain-coated grates (to prevent food sticking and are easy to clean) and two 6 inches plastic wheels (that provide ease while maneuvering) are some of the attractive features of this grill.

In our test, we have found this grill better than other low-priced grills which couldn’t even reach optimal temperature. Although, there is no built-in thermometer to measure the internal food temperature and it has fixed side shelves but classic 280 still manages to do the job, ideally for the occasional grilling. So, for the price it definitely gives value accordingly.

Best For Small Spaces: Weber Q2200

Weber Q2200 is the upgraded model of Q220 which was considered one of the best propane grills. The recent upgrade to Q2200 has awarded it some remarkable changes and improved the build quality. With just 1 touch start option, 12000 BTU power single burner and a large hood to host a full-size chicken or a large size roast, it just delivers a lot as being a portable grill.

On the other hand, it weighs 42 pounds which nobody can carry alone, but it also provides the ample 280 square inches cooking surface which no doubt is too much for a portable grill. Moreover, two foldable work surfaces, adjustable heat option, mounted heat thermometer and optional griddle section are those features which made its way to our list of top liquid propane grills.

So people who are looking for the grill that is perfect for tailgating, portable enough to fit in tight space or best for camping can consider this grill.

Your website really helped me alot. Thank you v much

You are welcome!

I was looking at some cheaper but best BBQ grills and ended up with Char-Broil TRU-Infrared Patio Bistro. Glad I did. This unit is well made, quick ignition system with up to 320 square inches grilling surface.

The grill comes with the well-written set of instructions. The hardware is all packaged in such a way that you open the plastic bag for the parts you need – its all numbered, nice.

The Grill ignites quickly and is small enough to fit in the small spaces.

I must admit that i found your website’s reviews are the only genuine ones among many other similar gas grill reviews websites.

Lastly, I am truly thankful for providing such unbiased and detailed information in this article.

I was looking for a best outdoor grill to fulfill my BBQ with a tight budget. A quick search took me to your site where I was able to skim & scan between the products you listed on the page. You did a fantastic job for each of the product reviews because the information is precise and up to date.

After spending just 10 minutes, I was able to decide that which grill suits me and which one to buy actually. I found Dyna-Glo Black Premium to be my next grill for BBQ. Thanks for your help.

You are always welcome 🙂

I am not sure why you don’t have at least one of the Broil King Grills listed. All the other comparative lists include at least one of the models.

We would love to test Broil King Grills soon and if we find one worth adding to our list, we will add it. Thanks for your input.

Was out looking for a new weber grill for my son in law. I was totally bummed out about weber being made in China. What a shame. Definitely looking for a different brand now, that is USA made.

I understand your concern but there are still many quality weber grills which are manufactured in the USA like Weber Genesis E-330.

Why isn’t Napoleon represented on your list? Were they just not tested?

This month 2 Napoleon grills made to our top 10 list. You can read their reviews on this website.

Weber Spirit Gas Grills for 2017

The Complete Line of 2017 Weber Spirit Gas Grills

Recently, Weber redesigned their entry level gas grills, the Spirit Line. These 2 and 3-burner gas grills range in price from $499USD to $699USD MSRP. The biggest change for these grills is the orientation of the burners. As the last holdout of the side table mounted control knobs and parallel burners, now Spirit grills will be like every other grill on the market. There are in the current line-up, priced at $50USD increments, depending on feature and finish. The spirit grills are the smallest . MORE of Weber's gas grills, so they might just be perfect for the person looking for a small grill for a small space. Weber Spirit gas grills are made by Weber in China.

Typically Home Depot sells a special or deluxe version of some of the line of Weber gas grills. In 2014, the Spirit grills have Weber's Gourmet BBQ Accessory System added for no extra price. Similar to the standard Spirit E-210, this model has a special porcelain coated cast iron cooking grate with a removable center piece that can be swapped out for a large number of accessory cooking equipment including a pizza stone, chicken roaster, and the griddle that is included in . MORE this package. Home Depot sells this version for $400USD, which makes it an excellent buy.

Weber Spirit E-210

In 2013 Weber has followed the trend towards smaller grills with a footprint as little as possible. The E-210 is a 2-burner gas grill with fold down side tables that provides 360 square inches of cooking space and little more. Devoid of bells and whistles, this is as simple a grill as possible. The advantage is that it takes up very little space while offering full height grilling. I recommend this model for people with small spaces like balconies where gas grills are . MORE allowed. The E-210 has an MSRP of $499USD. For $100USD more the E-310 has three burners, 424 square inches of primary grilling space, and more versatility.

Typically Home Depot sells a special or deluxe version of some of the line of Weber gas grills. Since 2014, the Spirit grills have Weber's Gourmet BBQ Accessory System added for no extra price. MORE in this package.

Weber Spirit S-210

The S-210 is identical to the E-210 in every way except the stainless steel hood and door section. Of course, this is a lower grade of stainless, but still with Weber's better than most quality. Considering that stainless steel can discolor I recommend saving $50USD and buying the E-210 since the only enhancement is the appearance, but then I prefer the black enamel to stainless anyway. The enamel surface is easier to clean and will retain its appearance longer. The S-210 . MORE has an MSRP of $549USD.

Weber Spirit E-220

The E-220 sells for the same price as the S-210 (MSRP $550USD) and replaces the stainless steel hood and door piece with a 12,000 BTU flush mounted side burner. For those few who use a side burner, this is a nice feature, but for those who don't (the majority of gas grill owners), it is of little use, though I recommend it for those people who might need an emergency burner.

One of the selling points of the 2-burner spirit grills is their small footprint. The E-210 and . MORE S-210 have fold down side tables so that the grill doesn't need to take up much space. By adding the side burner, Weber has made the side tables on this model rigid, so this grill looses that feature. If space is a problem and a side burner isn't necessary, then I recommend the E-210 for $50USD less.

Weber Spirit E-310

For $100USD more than the E-210, the E-310 offers an extra burner and a primary grilling space of 424 square inches. Aside from this, the E-310 has no other features. The deciding factor should be the amount of space needed for grilling. The 360 square inches of the 200 series grills above is plenty for two to four people. Two burners don't offer a lot of versatility so anyone needing more space and better indirect grilling capacity should consider this version over the . MORE E-310. In fact I would recommend this over the smaller versions for anyone who doesn't have a cramped space. The MSRP of this grill is $599USD.

Weber Spirit SP-310

Available at select outlets (try Ace or True Value Hardware Stores), is the "premium" edition of the Spirit 310. Selling for around the same price as the E-320 model takes the E-310 and adds stainless steel cooking grates as well as the hood and door sections. The stainless steel rod cooking grates are the only real change in the performance of this model of gas grill, and one I don't find to be much of an improvement. The porcelain coated cast iron cooking grates . MORE on the standard version are equally good at transferring heat as the stainless steel grates on this version. I am inclined to recommend the the E-310 over the SP-310.

Weber Spirit E-320

Identical to the E-310, this gas grill has the addition of a 12,000 BTU side burner under a flush mounted cover. With an MSRP of $649USD, the question about this one is whether or not to get the side burner. While I do find them useful, it isn't worth the $50USD price difference for the person that is never going to use it.

Best Charcoal Grill Money Can Buy

#1 Recommendation: Weber Performer Premium Charcoal Grill

The Weber Charcoal Grill is the best result of its sort ever constructed. It is sold worldwide and perceived for its flexibility, quality, and limit. The Weber Performer Premium is the $350USD form of this notorious charcoal grill. This model accompanies an extensive table, advanced clock, and Weber’s Gourmet BBQ System cooking grate. It is basically, an extraordinary charcoal grill, prepared to do such a large number of cooking styles and fit for making that genuine grill involvement.

This rendition just does not have the gas controlled charcoal start framework accessible on the Performer Deluxe.

Digital: One of the components of this grill is the computerized cooking clock. This is just an electronic 99-minute egg clock. What’s more, yes, it goes for 99 minutes, so it is futile for long cook times. It is additionally something that can be purchased at any store for a couple bucks. This isn’t an element. It is a trick.

  • A full component Weber Kettle Grill
  • Large work surface
  • Very flexible potential
  • 363 square creeps of cooking space
  • Includes Weber’s Gourmet BBQ System cooking grate
  • Removable computerized cook clock
  • Porcelain powder covered steel top and fire bowl
  • Aluminum vents and ash catcher
  • Plastic, powder covered steel and stainless steel truck development
  • Large plastic charcoal receptacle
  • Two aluminum charcoal wicker container for backhanded grilling
  • Roll beat top
  • Made in the United States by the Weber-Stephen Products Company
  • There is minimal more to be said in regards to the Weber Charcoal

  • Digital cook clock is essentially a 99-minute egg clock

In the event that there’s a hole getting burned in your pocket due to $400, then have at it. Generally, this upgrade is colossal from 2014’s Weber Performer, in perspectives that expand upon the ease of use, ergonomics, and solidness of the grill. For somebody that grills no less than 3 to 5 times a week, that is vital to really get satisfaction from it. Of course, the ways Weber changed the lid didn’t generally require a change in the first place, and the lid actually had more usefulness than now. Very few focuses are lost there, yet it’s one that ought to be given consideration.

Best Budget Charcoal Grill

#2 Recommendation: Char-Broil Kettleman Charcoal Grill

The Kettleman Charcoal Grill demonstrates that Char-Broil can be inventive and fabricate an item that can contend with anybody. The pivoted top is an extraordinary component, just like the removable ash catcher. Completely stacked this grill is less expensive than the practically identical Weber; however, its constrained creation quality and powerlessness to be shutdown leaves more than a couple of things to be wanted.

Porcelain-covered, rust proof cooking grate keeps food on top, counteracts flare-ups and disperses warm equitably.

Air gulfs encompass the border of the grill, encouraging expanded wind current which conveys all the more notwithstanding warming.

Temperature gauge permits the griller to monitor pre-heat status and screen within a temperature of the grill.

Slide-in ash skillet fits cozily on the base of the grill to catch and contain fiery debris. Simple to expel, purge, and supplant.

  • Substantial obligation and well-made
  • Expansive cooking range
  • Tru-Infrared framework
  • Great ventilation for heat control
  • Great heat dissemination
  • Configuration implies it cooks more with less charcoal
  • Rotating cover
  • Amazing slag authority plate
  • Simple to clean
  • Almost no get together required

  • It cannot shut down.
  • The quality control is very limited.

From multiple points of view, this appears like only a straightforward patio grill, yet there’s a great deal more to it than that. The Char-Broil grill audits for it on Amazon are all exceptionally positive, just a single client has specified replacing a few sections, yet at the same time increased the quality.

Other than great quality, the thing that is presumably of most intrigue is, makes it do an extraordinary showing with regards to of cooking? Well, the response to that is certainly yes, its outline ensures that. The porcelain covering on the cooking grate implies the heat conveyance is great and cleaning it a short time later isn’t an issue. Steadiness is essential, so the way the legs are calculated together with the base plate implies it shouldn’t be an issue by any means. The Char-Broil Charcoal Grill 22.5 inch Kettleman is a quality bit of hardware and offers genuine esteem.

Best Charcoal Grill For Beginners

#3 Recommendation: Weber 741001 22-Inch Charcoal Grill

One-Touch Cleaning System: The One-Touch cleaning framework makes cleanup hassle-free. As you rotate the handle, the three blades in the bowl move ash through the vents in the bowl and straight into the ash catcher. The aluminum ash catcher lifts out for simple ash transfer and cleaning. The completely encased ash catcher shields powder from blowing around and is effectively confined for brisk and clean ash expulsion. This not just makes clearing out the bowl a breeze additionally keeps you cooking longer by keeping the development of fiery ash that squares vents and chokes out the fire.

22.5-Inch Silver One-Touch Charcoal Kettle Grill: As a major aspect of the One-Touch arrangement, the 22.5-inch Silver pot grill gives a plated steel cooking grate that measures 22-1/2 crawls in breadth for 363 square creeps of aggregate cooking space. Best of all, the barbecue’s aluminized steel One-Touch cleaning framework permits you to exhaust the fiery debris in seconds without getting your hands filthy. Overall, the grill measures 22-1/2 inches long by 25 inches wide by 38-1/2 inches high and carry a 10-year restricted guarantee.

  1. Performance: The grill is very adjustable and simple to control heat levels with the upper and lower vent. Food can either be put over the coals for high heat or far from them for more continuous roundabout cooking.
  2. Versatility: The grill is water/air proof with both vents shut, so can be used as an extremely successful roundabout heat smoker. I observe the rails to be better than the wicker container since they vent air better and accommodate more positional adaptability.
  3. Efficiency/Economy: Good charcoal is not cheap, and it can be used multiple times on the off chance that you totally shut the vents when you are done the cooking, a major ordeal for a resigned fellow on a settled salary. The impenetrable way of this grill takes into consideration this charcoal reusing is almost difficult to discover on other (non-Weber) grills, in my experience.
  4. Taste: I will just use a gas grill on the off chance that I am in a major rush, with no opportunity to sit tight for the charcoal heating time frame. Cooking over wood/charcoal gives food an unrivaled smoky flavor versus any gas grill, as I would like to think.

  1. Damper: Removing the damper can be a real pain to get off sometimes. It has one of those round containers that twist in.

The grates weren’t what I was looking for, yet Weber has prevailed in each other design area. Buyers are getting, at a decent cost, a vast cooking region, pivoted grates, aluminized steel, great dampers, and a wind current system that is one of the best out there. The outcome is phenomenally cooked food, so I would prescribe the Weber 741001 for a purchase.

Best Charcoal Grill with Easy Temperature Control

#4 Recommendation: Char-Griller 06620 Akorn Kamado Kooker

  • Base Damper and Ash Pan: Base damper to control wind current for exact temperature control. The simple dump ash dish makes for snappy and simple cleanup.
  • Folding Side Shelf: Two helpful side racks with utensil hooks fold away when not being used or for storage.
  • Removable warming rack: A removable 133 square inch warming rack over the cast press flame broiling spa

  • Heavy maintenance: The grate is uncoated cast iron cooking grate and t requires seasoning and care every time you use it.
  • Bad Finishing: This grill has the reputation for burning off porcelain and paint at high temperatures. It’s simply not good for the food.
  • Incorrect Temp Gauge: the thermometer is lid mounted and it is notoriously inaccurate. You have to watch it like a hawk if you don’t want your food to get burnt.

In the event that you are occupied with Kamado style cooking or are hoping to update your grilling alternatives, then the Char-Griller AKORN Kamado Kooker deserves your thought. The amazingly composed and constructed grill will add extraordinary adaptability to your grilling alternatives at an expressive cost point. You deserve a superior barbecue thus does your food.

One final note, as with any kamado grill, there is an expectation to learn and adapt to its use. Try not to plan to get one in the morning to use that evening. It is dependably a smart thought to have a trial run or two first to get used to the temperature control.

#5 Recommendation: Kingsford GR1031-014984 Charcoal Grill

The Kingsford GR1031-014984 Charcoal Grill has a liberal cooking surface of no less than 793 square inches and a limit of 35 burgers at once, in this way allowing you to cook both the main course and the flavoring or garnishing in the meantime.

The grill accompanies a base stockpiling rack and in addition high thickness plastic wheels that permit you to transport it on a surface. This Kingsford GR1031-014984 Charcoal Grill review will point out the components and capacities and in addition the most striking advantages of the grill.

  • Steel Construction: A standout amongst the most remarkable components of this charcoal grill is its solid extended steel construction that is particularly thought to last throughout the years – that, combined with the generous cooking surface and the warming rack permits you to grill a wide range of foods, while the extraordinary thermometer that accompanies the bundle gives you a chance to screen the cooking temperatures progressively.
  • Accurate temperature: You do not need to be a professional cook to make sure that you food cooks at a perfect temperature as the thermometer provided by the Kingsford are highly accurate and it will take care of everything for you.

  • • One of the primary advantages of the grill is that given its charcoal-based instrument of activity, it is flawless for grilling and cooking, as well as for smoking.
  • • This charcoal grill is ideal for smoking regardless of the possibility that you don’t have an uncommon smoke box available to you, as the top of the grill closes perfectly and serves as a smoke box.
  • • The 30-inch limit is ideal for a large family or for a meeting with friends and neighbors, while the side shelves and the base storage rack permit you to store your food bowls rapidly and without the hassles.

  • • The only drawback we could find was that lock-nut Kingsford was an awful design. Our advice will be to replace the locknut with a simple flange nut, it’s much easier.

Kingsford GR1031-014984 Charcoal Grill is a savvy, feature-rich, customary yet very viable grill that is made to last throughout the years.

This grill is perfect both for gifted and for novice chefs, it is anything but difficult to clean and to dismantle and it is without a doubt the best decision for cooking fans who need to cook their meat or vegetables the old, conventional path, without “getting lost in technology”.

The Quick Buyer’s Guide for BBQ Grills

There is an excessive number of grills to check. There are little expendable units for picnics and gigantic beasts that append to your rear end and have the same number of wheels as a semi.

What’s more, kid, they go in cost. A pleasant hibachi that will make awesome steaks (truly) can be had for just $15, and in the not so distant past, I saw a stainless steel work in my neighborhood handyman shop that said: “Financing Available” (truly)!

A decent grill is a basic apparatus for the present day cook, not similarly as a terrace redirection, but rather as a moment broiler. It is even critical in crises. Ask individuals how they cooked after the typhoon. Have a go at using that line on your mate.

What a grill does best is made food with an extraordinary flavor, and, in light of the high heat, it can come nearer to turning out steakhouse steaks superior to any indoor broiler. Arranged appropriately it can even smoke low and moderate and in addition a devoted smoker.

  • Size: The main choice is measure, which identifies with cost. Begin by taking a gander at the quantity of square creeps of the essential cooking surface. That is the primary cooking grate. A few makers list add up to the cooking region and that incorporates the “warming” rack suspended over the essential cooking zone. Yes, you can concoct there, yet its separation from the fire implies food concocts diversely there despite the fact that the temp is not a considerable measure lower. A removable warming rack is a decent element; however, the vital estimation is the square creeps of the principle cooking grate.
  • Price: What is your main concern? Realize what you will spend before going shopping. Similarly as with an auto, the more alternatives, the more costly. You can get a decent charcoal for under $300. The old solid, extremely able, adaptable, and indestructible Weber Kettle can be had for under $100. Top of the line charcoal grills
  • Head Space: You will need enough space to smoke a turkey, so ensure there is no less than 12″ of head space between the cooking grate and within the top. In the event that there is a warming rack, it ought to be removable.
  • Fuel: There are currently six fuel sorts of browsing. You have to choose in the event that you need charcoal, gas, logs, wood pellets, or electric. On the off chance that you get a kick out of the chance to grill steaks and other red meats, you need to have the capacity to get high heat for burning. You need charcoal or gas.
  • Temperature Control: The way to fruitful cooking is temperature control. In the event that you can’t without much of a stretch make a 2-zone setup, you are seriously impaired. Charcoal grills require tight covers and dampers that can be opened or shut to control oxygen to the fire and subsequently control the heat. A few grills can raise and lower the coals. This is a pleasant component for when you need the coals just underneath a steak for a strong dull burn.
  • High Heat: On the off chance that you like red meat with a decent dull hull and red to pink inside, even on thin steaks, then you need a grill that can get hot. Charcoal grills can ordinarily do steaks flawlessly, particularly on the off chance that you raise the coals too simply beneath the cooking surface. Most gas grills can’t hit that temp unless they have the new infrared or singe burners. On the off chance that you cook a lot of steaks, and you incline toward gas, this is an element you ought to consider. The separation of the heat source from the food can be imperative. The nearer the better to sear, yet in the event that gas burners are near the surface and far separated from each other, you will have problem areas.
  • Smoking: Could the grill do smoking? On the off chance that it would, you need not bother with a different committed independent smoker. To smoke appropriately, you should have the capacity to control wind stream. For instance, the Weber Kettle charcoal grill makes a fine showing with regards to of smoking since it has great wind current control and a tight top. Include the reasonable Smokenator and you can contend on the BBQ circuit. Gas grills, for the most part, don’t have tight tops keeping in mind the end goal to permit burning gasses to escape and flammable gas to escape in the event of a flameout. You can at present smoke on them, you simply require more wood.
  • Warranty and Support: What sort of guarantee as well as assurance does it accompany? On gassers, check the guarantee on the burners, at times they have a different guarantee than whatever is left of the grill. You need five to ten years. What is the merchant’s notoriety? Is there a telephone number and email for technical support or would they say they are covering up? Is the site educational? What about the manual? Imagine a scenario where you require parts. To what extent have they been doing business?
  • Safety: Is it tyke and pet safe? Are electrical parts safe from rain and snow? Is the oil dish right where the canine preferences it?
  • Thermometer: Most thermometers on grills are bimetal dials and not precise. Producers purchase the least expensive model they can discover and after that mount them up in the vault, far from the food, much higher than the warming rack. In the event that you ever want to make awesome suppers on a grill, and you can and I can help, fit greatly advanced thermometers into your financial plan. You require one to put on the cooking surface close to the meat, and another to check the meat temp.

Is Charcoal Cooking harmful or not?

Grilling with charcoal is a prevalent interest for some Americans in warm climate months. Cooking with charcoal is typical since charcoal grills are less costly than gas grills. A few people incline toward the kind of charcoal cook foods over foods cooked with gas. There is some debate encompassing the wellbeing impacts of cooking with charcoal and regardless of whether it raises the danger of creating growth. An authoritative answer in regards to conceivable wellbeing worries with charcoal grilling has not been built up by the logical or restorative group.

Grilling foods can be a sound option when arranged legitimately. Grilled food’s, including those cooked on a charcoal grill, have less fat than foods cooked in a dish in light of the fact that the fat can trickle away. Grilled foods can be prepared with dry rubs that don’t give included fat from oils or dressings. Grilling itself likewise gives extra flavor to the food that isn’t available when cooked inside.

Cooking foods at high temperatures, for example, on a charcoal grill (here), creates a substance known as heterocyclic amines, otherwise called HCAs, in the food. HCAs have been appeared to bring about growth in research center creatures; however, researchers don’t know whether they have similar impacts on people. Specialists at Penn State clarify that eating grilled food’s once in a while is probably not going to bring about an issue. Moreover, when foods are singed, heated, cooked or broiled, low levels of HCAs likewise frame, so the issue isn’t restricted to grilling alone.

Grilling with charcoal can be unsafe if not done appropriately. Using an excessive amount of lighter liquid, or substances, for example, fuel and different flammables to touch off the charcoal could bring about intense blazes. Using a charcoal grill in an encased space can bring about carbon monoxide harming that can bring about death. Working a charcoal grill excessively near a house or other building could bring about harm to the building if a wildfire were to happen. Continuously take after the security guidelines that accompanied your grill and grill your food’s outside in an open space far from different structures.

The University of Virginia prescribes grilling vegetables and little cuts of meat that cook all the more rapidly, lessening the measure of HCAs made in the food. Despite the fact that the impacts of charcoal cooking aren’t known on people, to diminish any potential impacts, marinate meats preceding grilling. This progression may diminish possibly growth bringing on HCAs by 90 percent. At last, when grilling over charcoal, trim abundance fat from the meat to keep away from flare-ups while cooking that can smolder and burn the food.

New 2017 Weber Genesis Gas Grill Photos

Genesis II With Open & Closed Cabinets Featured at Ace Hardware Convention in Chicago

Photos of new 2017 Weber Genesis gas grills started showing up online in the past few weeks. One of my sources saw these grills today at the Ace Hardware convention in Chicago and says they are real beauties!

Weber Genesis II LX stainless steel 6-burner with storage cabinet, side burner, handle lights and integrated tool hooks

Weber is reviving the Genesis II nameplate from the late-1980s for these new grills in 2017. Back in those early years, the Genesis line consisted of 2- and 3-burner grills. Around 1998, Weber introduced the premium Summit line that offered 4- and 6-burner models. In 2007, Weber dropped the Genesis Silver A 2-burner grill from the lineup in favor of the less expensive Spirit E-210 2-burner grill, leaving Genesis as a line of 3-burner grills only.

For 2017, Weber greatly expands the Genesis lineup. The Genesis II features a series of 2-, 3-, 4-, and 6-burner grills in propane and LP that come in a variety of colors, including stainless steel, and in basic and upgraded LX versions.

Weber Genesis II black 6-burner with open cabinet

Weber brings back an open cabinet design on basic models–a design they discontinued in 2003/2004 in favor of enclosed storage cabinets with doors–with the usual porcelain coated cooking grates and Flavorizer bars. All grills appear to have an “iGrill Ready” work surface for use with the recently acquired iGrill remote thermometer.

An upgraded LX option is available that provides the enclosed cabinet along with other features including side burner, stainless steel rod cooking grates, stainless steel Flavorizer bars, electronic LP tank meter, handle lights and front-mounted tool hooks.

Weber Genesis II crimson 4-burner with open cabinet

Lids appear shorter in these photos than on current grills. Not sure if that’s real or just something having to do with the photography. It will be interesting to measure the dimensions to see how much headroom, if any, has been lost inside the grill.

Weber Genesis II LX stainless steel 2-burner with storage cabinet, side burner, handle light and integrated tool hooks

2017 marks the return of a 2-burner grill to the Genesis lineup. The last 2-burner Genesis was the Genesis Silver A in 2006 which gave way to the Spirit E-210 in 2007. It will be interesting to see how this new grill is received by consumers vs. the Spirit 2-burner.

New Trademarked Logo

All these grills feature the “Weber GS4 High Performance” logo located on the upper left corner of the front control panel. Weber GS4 High Performance is a new trademark registered in March 2016 that apparently refers to newly designed high performance burners.

MSRP for basic grills are said to be:

Top of the line 6-burner grill in LX configuration is said to have an MSRP of $1,999.

More Choice or More Confusion?

The unanswered question in all this is whether these new grills will compliment the existing Spirit and Summit lines or whether they will create confusion. With the 2-burner grill overlapping with the Spirit line and the 4- and 6-burner grills overlapping with the Summit line, it will be incumbent on Weber to clearly explain the value proposition of these new grills and to delineate the feature differences between the Spirit/Genesis/Summit lines, beyond just the obvious difference in MSRP.

It’s not easy for manufacturers to communicate these differences…I remember from my days working at HP how difficult it was for the company to clearly and concisely to explain the difference in features between so many brands and models of laptop computer or inkjet printer. What’s the difference between Photosmart and OfficeJet? Between Pavilion and Elitebook and Probook?

Also, there is such a thing as too many choices. Too many choices can paralyze consumers. Currently there are 4 models in the Genesis line, and the only overlap is with Spirit 3-burner grills. If you want a 2-, 4- or 6-burner grill, you’ve got to look outside the Genesis line.

Now, If I understand correctly, there will be 8 models in the Genesis line, and all of them will overlap with grills in the Spirit and Summit lines. I predict confusion for consumers…unless Weber discontinues Spirit and/or Summit, but the likelihood of that seems to be about zero.

I hope Weber isn’t making a mistake here. Only time will tell.

    Product and Technology

Weber provides a variety of well-known products in the gas grill marketplace. Weber majors in different types of gas grill. For example, it has two main kinds of gas grills including liquid propane gas and natural gas.

Weber always tries to be out-standing among many gas grill products. Each Weber gas grill has three primary burners. These burners could generate up to 38,000 BTUs in order to adjust easily the heat.

Moreover, thanks to Weber sear station, the gas grill is provided enough BTUs for searing meat.

An advantage of using Weber product is that it saves time to prepare for dishes or sauces with 12,000 BTUs inside burner.

The Weber grill gives users 507 square inches of primary cooking place and a warming rack limitation of 130 square inches for average cooking area.

In general, although Weber provides a short number of BTUs, it can make itself be out-standing with the great functions.

Top 3 Best Weber Gas Grills on the market

Top 5 Best Weber Gas Grill Reviews

    1. Weber Genesis E-330 Liquid-Propane Gas Grill

There are 3 stainless-steel burners with a 38,000 BTU per hour input while the space for cooking is about 507 square inches. That means it’s about 75 BTUs per square inch and this figure is relatively low compared to other models. But the Genesis E-330 performs a better efficiency. So what reason for this result? In fact, with a lower amount of BTUs for a new design, the grill can’t heat up as quickly as older ones.

    Our Rating: (4.7 / 5)

But it gives higher cooking temperatures thanks to the appearance of Sear Station Burner that’s only on model Weber Genesis E-330. This in-built burner is between the center and left burners and it give you an intense heat for searing. Besides, the grill also allows you to take multi-task while grilling with a side burner. You can cook a big turkey and roast meats or vegetables at the same time. That’s amazing. Your time of grilling work will be reduced a lot and the food tastes better than any previous Genesis grill.

    • A sturdy and solid design
    • Perfect Weber customer and dealer service
    • Intense heat with sear burner
    • Some people can complain about the storage cabinet because it’s not water-tight. Others can have difficulty with the price level
    • It’s a little pricey

    2. Weber Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas Grill

Obviously, Weber lauches the E-220 to replace the E-210. In addition to inheriting all the great features of the predecessor, the new Spirit E220 provides some differences such as a 12,000 BTU side burner, smaller assembled dimensions with the lid open 63-inch × 48-inch × 32-inch. With a not much additional amount of money, about $50, compared to the E-210, the E-220 is worth to buy. So why can I make the conclusion? Here are some reasons.

    Our Rating: (4.6 / 5)

The grill comes with two stainless steel burners. They can put out 26,500 BTU-per-hour for easy and fast grill works. The grill also provides a flush-mounted side burner of 12,000 BTU. Besides to main dishes, you can cook some side dishes or some sauces right over there. It’s very comfortable, right? But the comfort doesn’t still stop on it. There is an allowance for maneuverability and easy storage with able to fold down burners. The Spirit E220 also provides plenty of room for both cooking and warming. It’s 360 -square inch for cooking and 90 -square inch of warming area. Because of being a compact grill, the E220 is still roomy enough to cook or warm foods for a big family at the same time.

    • The Spirit E220 is compact but performs well for meals of your family.
    • It’s well retentive of heat and quick in clean up after grill works.
    • The compact design compared to the predecessor is also appreciated by a lot of users.
    • Some people can complain about the price but it completely deserves for benefits it brings to users.

    3. Weber Spirit E310 Liquid Propane Gas Grill

The Weber Spirit E-310 has plenty of room for grilling works. It’s 424 -square inch for cooking while offers 105 -square inch of warning area. Both works can be done together at the same time. You can use it to quickly prepare meals for a big family with many members. Meanwhile the powerful heat also helps you save time for cooking as well.

    Our Rating: (4.6 / 5)

There are 3 stainless steel burners with 32,000 BTU-per-hour. That’s amazing for a Liquid Propane Gas Grill from Weber. Remember that there are only two stainless steel burners put out 26,500 BTU-per-hour with 12,000 BTU side burner on the Spirit E220 and even on the E210 model, there is no side burner. It’s also quick to start the grill just with the push of a button. The system of eletronic crossover ignition works accurately to give you a feel of safety without worry about any problems when taking startups.

Assembly isn’t a problem for you. It’s even easy and quick no matter how professional you are. You just follow the clear instructions. The task can take you about an hour and a half.

    • The food you make becomes better while reducing time for grilling works.
    • Feel of safety and ease in clean up are some other things you find at a perfect product.
    • It’s a little bulky more than the E220 but easily understandable because of the larger cooking area.

    4. Weber Spirit E210 Liquid Propane Gas Grill

The grill is a new brand in 2013 and it comes with an excellent design. The control panel has beed moved to the front and there are two stainless steel tables with 26,500 BTU-per-hour. That can be folded down to allow you to move or store the grill in an easy way.

    Our Rating: (4.6 / 5)

The grill with porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates brings us an awesome heat retention. That increases the cooking efficiency and keeps foods hot in a long time as well. Besides, it also works well on your steaks and burgers too.

Another highlight in the Weber Spirit E210 is the Electronic Crossover ignition system. You can let it start with just one touch of the button. You can also monitor how much fuel you have whenever you want with a fuel gauge.

    • Very sturdy and the able to fold down design is helpful in storage.
    • With affordable price tags, they are enough for basic needs in cooking job.
    • The design with porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grates and porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars makes it good looking and easy to clean as well.
    • There is no side burner to cook sauces and side dishes right at the grill.

    5. Weber Summit S-670 Natural-Gas Grill

Quality is important and determined not only by efficiency of your grilling job but also by the life span of particular equipment. Currently, the S-670 is the latest of the Weber Summit series line. It provides the maximum amount of stainless steel burners, maximum amount of additional burners with maximum amount of BTU per hour input. No doubt to say that this gas grill perfectly fit your grill taste better than other Weber models.

    Our Rating: (4.4 / 5)

The Summit S-670 measures 30 inches long by 74 inches wide by 57 inches high, provides 6 stainless steel burners with more room for grilling or searing food. Additional burners include side burner, sear station burner, smoker burner, and rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner. All of them are made of high-grade stainless steel leading a durable and efficient design. Your grilling jobs will become more enjoyable with need of less time and more comforts in multi-task.

The cooking grates are easy to clean and durable because they are made of porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast-iron. Meanwhile, the aluminum cook boxes can endure great heat required for each grilling. Besides, the grill is also easy to control settings. Via the valves of the burners, you can choose the suitable heat level for your grilling job. If the heat level fits well with the grill, the food will be better.

    • Professional heat from 6 stainless steel burners
    • Multi-task, full function with many additional burners
    • Sturdy and durable construction
    • Thoughtful support and long time warranty.
    • Waste of money for a small family or party with just a few members.

    6. Weber Summit E-470 Natural-Gas Grill

The Weber Summit Grill E-470 has 4 stainless-steel burners with 48,800-BTU per hour input and 580 square inches of total cooking space. Besides, side burner, sear station burner, smoker burner and rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner are also offered for more comforts. You can do as many multi-task as you want.

    Our Rating: (4.6 / 5)

All things have never been easy like that for grill works. Compared to the previous Summit E-420, the E-470 has more BTU per hour input but a smaller total cooking are. That means your grill works will happen faster and the heat quickly reaches the maximum point.

The grill comes in exceptional materials including stainless steel, porcelain-enameled cast iron and procelain-enameled steel. These materials are good for heat retention and easy for cleaning up. They also have the ability of heat withstanding leading the amazing endurance. In which, stainless steel cooking grates have the ability of searing your grilled food.

    • Suitable with multi-task thanks to the diversity of burner kinds.
    • Your cooking job is also easier and quicker than Weber other models. It looks really impressive and the construction is very solid and sturdy.
    • It’s easy to get assembled as well.
    • The price really is a trouble for those with limitation in budget.
    • The cooking area isn’t large like that of the Weber Summit E-420 and other models.

    7. Weber Genesis S-310 Liquid-Propane Gas Grill

There are some advances in the design of Genesis grill. On older models, the burners run parallel to the front of the grill with controls on the right side table. But on these new models, the burners run perpendicular to the front of the grill with the controls in the front. But the enhancement in grilling quality is the most important thing leading a worth-to-buy product.

    Our Rating: (4.6 / 5)

I’m very appreciating the Genesis S-310. It’s considered as one of the best standard gas grills on the current market because of its grilling efficiency and build.

There is a front mounted control panel with 3 stainless-steel burners. The amount of cooking space is 507-square-inch and it’s 130-square-inch for warming while only 38,000 BTU per hour input. That’s low compared to other models. But the grill is efficient in holding heat. Though it’s more time to creat heat than the previous models, the grill also get hot in long time.

The individual electronic ignition system brings you quicker and safer startups. Simply, you access your grill works just by one button. Meanwhile, cooking grates are from exceptional materials. It’s durable and easy to clean with porcelain-enameled steel cooking grates while stainless steel and porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates is helpful in holding heat in long time. What a superior heat retention.

    • Traditional reputation
    • Innovation in technology
    • Outstanding performance and thoughtful customer services.
    • It’s has a larger cooking space,it’s a little bulky and heavy.
    • It’s also time consuming in assembly and disassembly.

    Types of Grills

Gas grills are the most convenient type because they heat so quickly and are easy to use: they feature knobs just like an oven's. Many gas grills also have temperature gauges so you know when it's at the optimal temperature (although they get terrible reviews for accuracy, so you might want to invest in a dedicated meat thermometer, which we cover in a separate report). Gas grills are versatile and can be used for both direct and indirect cooking, just like a charcoal grill -- except instead of fiddling with moving charcoal around, you just have to turn off the heat on one side for indirect. You can also buy smoker boxes that hold wood chips and can be set on the flames to impart a more traditional barbecue flavor to your food.

Charcoal takes longer to light than a gas grill and controlling a charcoal grill's heat isn't as simple as turning a gas grill's temperature dial. But enthusiasts say the extra trouble is worth it for the flavor that cooking over charcoal imparts. Most charcoal grills are versatile too, and can be used as smokers. Many charcoal grills are built to last for years or even decades.

While charcoal grills can often be used as smokers, a dedicated smoker will maintain a low, slow temperature better than a grill. Most people think of smokers as strictly for large, tough cuts of meats like ribs or brisket, but, in fact, smokers are quite versatile -- you can even make pizza in a smoker. Many grilling aficionados say they never knew what they were missing until they added a smoker to their backyard.

Although this type of grill is usually referred to as a pellet grill, experts say these actually are more appropriate for use as smokers, although manufacturers are tweaking the technology to make them more versatile. Pellets are an all-natural fuel source made from the byproduct of wood -- basically compressed sawdust, which is a more environmentally-friendly fuel source than charcoal. Some pellets are even flavored to further infuse flavor into the meat. Pellets heat up more quickly than charcoal and it's easier to clean up afterwards because pellets leave very little ash. However, pellets aren't as readily available as charcoal, cost more, and you need to be sure you get food-grade pellets. The pellets used in pellet stoves, which we cover in a separate report, are not suitable to use in pellet grills.

These are available in both charcoal and gas models and are great for camping, tailgating or picnics -- or if you just have a limited outdoor space and need a small grill. In spite of their smaller size, portable grills should offer a relatively large cooking surface so you don't have to grill too many batches to produce a family meal.

    Be safe when grilling

Because grills use fire or gas, it's not surprising that some models would end up on the Consumer Product Safety Commission's list of recalled products. If you're planning to buy a used model or shop at an outlet rather than a conventional retailer, it pays to check the CPSC list before buying. Also, it goes without saying that grills get hot on the outside when they're being used for cooking. Keep children and pets away from them and take basic safety precautions like wearing oven mitts and being careful not to touch hot surfaces.

Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Review for 2017

There are many different ways to cook food and undoubtedly grilling is a favourite for many. There can hardly be anyone who doesn’t like grilled food.

If you thought that grilling is a job that is best left to the professionals, you thought wrong! With the range of great quality grills that are available these days, grilling can be done in the comfort of your own home easily.

One of the most popular grills that is available in the market today is the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill which we will be reviewing in detail below.

Best features of Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill

Grilling is one summer time activity that a lot of people look forward to and grilled food is not only tasty but also wholesome and healthy. However, grilling can become a tedious activity if you don’t own a good quality grill. Luckily, almost all Weber gas grill reviews are on the positive side, with very few people dissatisfied with it. Some of the key features of this particular model of grill is:

    • Cast iron and porcelain enamelled cooking grates: Any cooking expert will vouch for the fact that cast iron cooking equipment gives great colour and sear to anything which is cooked in/on it. At the same time however, cast iron also needs a lot of seasoning before one can cook in it smoothly; else food tends to get stuck on it and then one needs to spend a lot of elbow grease scrubbing and scraping the remnants off.

    • This barbecue is a natural gas unit and you must have natural gas plumbed out to your patio or deck to be able to use this grill; If you do not have natural gas plumbed, please look at our selection of propane barbecues
    • 529 suare inches of total cooking area
    • Porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grates and Flavorizer bars
    • Electronic crossover ignition system starts with the push of a button
    • Assembled dimensions with the lid open 63-inch by 52-inch by 32-inch, Note: This product does not work with propane gas.

In the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill, they have combined the best of both worlds by putting in cast iron grates that are porcelain enamelled. This means that while the grates will retain heat for a longer duration of time, they will tend to be less sticky and will not require as much seasoning as normal cast iron grates. They are also easy to clean and maintain.

    • Porcelain enamelled Flavorizer bars: The signature flavour of grilled food is the smoky flavour that it imbibes from the grilling process. The porcelain enamelled Flavorizer bars that are present in the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill, does this job effectively.

The bars are placed in such a way that the juices and drippings from the food that is being grilled will drip unto them, thereby making them sizzle and smoke up the food, thus imparting that flavour that is quintessential to grilled food.

    • An inbuilt thermometer: It is essential to keep an eye on the grill temperature when using it. The centrally mounted thermometer in the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill makes this job easy as one can tell the temperature of the grill at a glance.
    • Porcelain enamelled steel shroud: The body of the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill looks sleek, modern and stylish thanks to the porcelain enamelled steel shroud that encases it. This shroud also prevents the unit from getting rusted, dented or otherwise damaged in any manner.
    • Space, hooks and provisions for accessories: It is clear that the designers behind the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill have really put in much thought and research into developing this apparatus.

The two stainless steel tables that are present on the side of the main grilling grates stands as proof to the attention to detail that goes into Weber grills. These tables with integrated hooks are excellent for placing plates, tongs, spatulas, brushes and other assorted tools neatly in one place and within easy reach while grilling.

    • 3 Burners: The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill offers a grilling capacity of 529 square inches with 424 square inches being the primary cooking area and 105 square inches being the warming rack. The even distribution of heat throughout the entire cooking surface is made possible with the help of the 3 stainless steel burners.

This grill gives a 32,000 BTU per hour input. BTU is the abbreviation for British thermal unit, which can be used to judge how fuel efficient the grill is. Grills that run on Propane have lower BTUs but for a natural gas grill, as you can see, the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill works at an optimal rate with very efficient fuel consumption. This is definitely something to consider when purchasing a grill.

    • Flexible hose: The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is highly versatile. You can place it in your patio or backyard and connect it to the gas supply with the help of the flexible hose that comes with it, which is 10 foot long.
    • Grease control: One great feature of the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is its grease management. Certain foods like vegetables or lean cuts of meat tend to release very less grease when grilled. But some meats such as pork can be very fatty and they release a lot of grease when grilled. This can be very inconvenient both while grilling and also afterwards when cleaning the grill once it has cooled down a bit.

The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill has an innovative grease management system, where the grease is guided away from the burner tubes. The grease tray and the catch pan collect any excess grease and they can be easily removed for a quick clean-up.

Negative points about Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill

Most of the Weber gas grill reviews have only good things to say about it but it is the duty of a well-balanced review to state the downside of the product as well. One of the major cons of the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is that it runs onlyon natural gas.

As the name indicates the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill will work only if you can hook it up to a natural gas connection. So if you happen to have a propane gas connection in your house then you might not be able to use this grill.

There could be a possible workaround to this problem if you are open to invest some time, effort and money into sourcing a conversion kit and getting a professional to convert the grill for you.

Also do keep in mind that the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is not a portable grill that you can use on camping trips etc. It is best suited to be used outdoors in your home.

Apart from these disadvantages though, it is hard to find any other bad point about the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill. With so little to complain about, one must admit that the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is truly one of the best natural gas grills around.

What are the advantages of theWeber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill over its competitors?

Buying a grill can be a little confusing since there are a plethora of options available and the consumer is literally spoilt for choice. It can be somewhat overwhelming to choose the correct grill for you – one that suits your needs and preferences to a T. Hence it is imperative to read genuine reviews and recommendations and also to ask around for the opinions of other grilling enthusiasts.

    • Let’s compare the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill with a few other similar natural gas grills. The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill weighs about 120 pounds, which is slightly lesser than the Weber Spirit S210 Natural Gas Grill, which weighs 130 pounds approximately.
    • It is also lighter than yet another popular gas grill, the Dyna-Glo DGA480BSN model, which weighs nearly 125 pounds, but it is heavier than the Napoleon Triumph natural gas grill, which only weighs 99 pounds.
    • The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is not one of the most compact natural gas grills to be honest. It measures 63 inches x 32 inches x 52 inches as compared to the S210 which measures 2 inches less at 63 inches x 32 inches x 50 inches.
    • The Dyna-Glo one is wider at nearly 53 inches but it makes up for this by being only 46 inches long and 23 inches tall, while the Napoleon Triumph one is even smaller at 45 inches x 50.5 inches x 22 inches.
    • However, please note that the Dyna-Glo model has 4 burners while the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill has 3 burners and the S210 has only 2 burners. On the other hand, the S210 model comes with a side burner which the S310 lacks, that might be disappointing to a few.
    • Despite this factor though it is interesting to note that the S310 still has a larger cooking area. It is 529 square inches as mentioned earlier but it is only 450 square inches in the S210 model – 79 inches lesser than S310!

Unlike some other complicated models of grills, the instructions that come with the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill are detailed, which makes the assembly easy and simple; most people admit that they have been able to set up the grill in a couple of hours’ time. So once you get the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill home, you will be able to start grilling in no time at all!

What’s more, it is easy to obtain any spare parts for this grill as they are readily available and the warranty that is extended by the company also covers most minor hitches if any, that might come up when operating the grill. Plus their customer service is really helpful and they help sort out any issues you have with your grill politely, promptly and patiently.

Natural gas grills are also far more advanced and are a breeze to use when compared to the more traditional charcoal grills which are slowly losing popularity. Don’t forget to clean and store you grill properly after it cools down in order to prolong its lifetime and also to make the next grilling session a quick and hassle-free one.

Should you buy the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill?

The Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is an ideal choice for small families to use at home for barbecue parties and gatherings. It is efficient and reliable. Although you might be able to find lower priced gas grills, the truth is that Weber has been in the business of manufacturing cooking and grilling equipment for several years now, and they are a name that you can depend on.

    • The Weber Company assures its customers that the performance of their grills is far superior to their competitors.
    • In the long run, the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill will surely turn out to be far more economical and trouble-free than other similar grills that are available in the market today. Grilling should not be a hectic activity where you spend hours sweating and slaving over a hot grill.
    • You should be able to fire up the grill and cook up some scrumptious foods without getting stressed about it and the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill will indeed help you enjoy grilling. If you are looking for a fuss-free, low maintenance and no-nonsense natural gas grill then Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill is the apt choice for you.
    • There are people who consistently buy only Weber grills as they are aware that they are paying for quality. In fact, not surprisingly, even people who have used other brands of natural gas grills before trying the Weber ones have been known to have become instant converts!
    • Low quality grills can cause a lot of problems; they are not durable and do not last long, they are cumbersome to clean, some smoke far too much, can cause burns or fire accidents, some take way too long to heat up and even when they do they distribute heat unevenly thereby causing food also to get cooked unevenly, and some others are just too difficult to handle. Instead of making grilling a smooth and enjoyable experience, bad grills may end up completely putting you off grilling itself.
    • Instead of wasting money on inferior gas grills, go for the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill. If you have been dreaming about owning a grill and hosting your own grilling feast, then don’t hesitate any more. Head over to your nearest home improvement store and pick up a Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill.
    • Go ahead and impress your guests with your grilling skills! You – and not to mention your guests – will certainly not regret it!Once you start using the Weber Spirit E310 Natural Gas Grill you will understand why so many people are impressed by it.

    The Virtual Weber Gas Grill

Today I had a chance to get up close and personal with some of the new 2017 Weber Genesis II gas grills at a local Ace Hardware store in San Jose, CA. All were base models, not the high-end LX model. One was a 2-burner model, two were 3-burner, and one was 4-burner.

Genesis II SE-410 4-burner in Crimson

    Overall Impressions of Genesis II

To my eye, the lids appear just a short and squat in-person as they do in photos. A member of The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board reports that the grate to lid height is 1″ shorter than 2016 models. Perhaps it’s a optical illusion, but it sure seems shorter than that.

Although I didn’t get to fire-up any of these grills, the design of the new GS4 High Performance Grilling System looks promising. The GS4 system consists of four components:

    • The E2i Electronic Ignition System that ignites each burner independently.
    • The new tapered burners that provide consistent gas flow from front to back for even heat distribution.
    • The good old Flavorizer bars plus new heat deflectors that help distribute heat evenly throughout the cookbox.
    • The Grease Management System consisting of a large center-mounted catch pan with disposable drip tray.

One of the first impressions you get from a Weber gas grill is when you lift the lid and feel its substantial weight. That does not change with these grills. The lids feel heavy and sturdy, the handles strong and secure.

However, when you start looking more closely at other components, they don’t seem as substantial. The work surfaces, the control panel, some of the smaller pieces on the back side of the grill, and especially the cover that visually screens the propane tank seem quite flimsy.

The Tuck-Away warming rack and the folding left-side work surface (on 2- and 3-burner models) seemed fussy. Folding these up and down was not smooth and easy.

    Genesis II Assembly

Long gone are the days of “StopWatch Engineering” from the early 2000s when Weber claimed that two people could assemble a Genesis gas grill in 10 minutes with 8 fasteners and a single tool–and they even threw in the tool!

A review of the Genesis II assembly guide indicates that assembly is a two-person task featuring 37 assembly steps and up to 161 parts, depending on the model. Required tools are a Phillips head screwdriver and an included wrench.

Assembly steps are illustrated in picture format with small amounts of text for the most crucial steps. Some steps require 2-3 actions per step, and there are many smiley and frowny face icons indicating the right and wrong way to perform each step.

You start by building-up the frame and then dropping the firebox into the frame, taking care to properly route the electrical wiring and gas line around the grill frame. There are lots of little screws and washers and clips and do-dads…you’ll want to take your time and exercise patience when assembling one of these grills.

If you’re an app person, you might want to avail yourself of a downloadable app called Bilt that offers 3-D step-by-step assembly instructions. It’s available for both iOS and Android smartphones.

    Made in China

Sad, but true, 2016 is the last model year in which all Weber Genesis grills can say, “Made in the United States of America with globally sourced parts and components”. The 2017 model year marks the beginning of Genesis II gas grills being made in China, just like Spirit gas grills have been over the past few years. This applies to all of the basic Genesis II models.

It’s my understanding that the Genesis II LX gas grills are being assembled in the United States…for now.

Here are the MSRP prices for the basic Genesis II grill line-up:

    Photos of Genesis II

Here are some photos I took of these grills and comments on each.

There’s been a lot of commentary about how the new lids look shorter than the 2016 models. They do look squat in person…a member of TVWBB says the grate to lid height is 1″ shorter than 2016 models. On 2- and 3-burner models, the work surface on the left side folds down… …and folds up. The up/down motion was not smooth or precise. It felt a bit cheesy to me. Tool hooks are hidden on the end of the left work surface. Not as convenient as front-mounted hooks. iGrill thermometer holder and Genesis II logo are on the front of the right work surface. The drip pan has a plastic latch that holds it in place. Pull the latch back to release the drip pan, push the latch forward to secure the drip pan. This seemed to work well, hope the plastic holds up over time. The storage shelf slats under the grill are powder-coated metal. When I opened the lid, the first thing I noticed was the Tuck-Away warming rack… …which folds up and is held in place by two brackets. It took two hands to get both ends of the rack aligned with the brackets in order to lock in place. It seemed a bit fussy to me. Here are the stainless steel grates I found inside the SE-410 4-burner model, a special model available only at certain dealers like Ace Hardware. I will have to compare these to a 2016 model to see if they are the same as current S/S grates. I’ve removed the right cooking grate to reveal the stainless steel Flavorizer bars. The S/S Flavorizer bars seem thinner than ones I’ve handled in the past, but again I will have to check a 2016 model to confirm any difference. There’s a semi-circular notch cut into the end of each Flavorizer bar that lets you to light the burner manually with a long match, if necessary. And each Flavorizer bar is stamped “SS” to indicate stainless steel, I assume. Removing the Flavorizer bars reveals the stainless steel burners and a series of heat deflectors that promote even heat distribution throughout the firebox. The burners are rectangular boxes whose height tapers slightly from front to back to provide an even flame across the entire length of the burner. The front end of each burner has its own integrated igniter with protective cover. The back end of each burner snaps into a bracket. Here’s a close-up of the burner holes. They appear to be punched from the inside surface of the burner, resulting in little raised nozzles. Here’s the cast iron cooking grates in one of the 3-burners grills. They seem to be the same as 2016 grates. Removing the cooking grate reveals the porcelain enameled Flavorizer bars. They seem less substantial than past enameled bars. Perhaps the saddest feature of the new Genesis II gas grill…it’s now Made in China, just like the Spirit gas grill.
